We moved the whole thing outside to enjoy the weather and make cotton candy with out setting off the fire alarms! Kids getting their reading rewards. They are now professional cotton candy makers! Taking down the reader of the week chain- Charlotte is in there somewhere! Helping with the "bride's train" on the way to the recycling bin! Taken just before we took it down to see where the treasure stickers were! Happy Merri is one of the treasure bag winners!

Making rainbow paper at the Fizz Boom Read Exploratorium! Checking out Books from Booker at Books & Stars Books & Stars at Way Park with Xibaba! Listeners all over the park! Making pockets for Corduroy at Pre-school story time. Last pizza reward day of the summer. BIG thanks to Dominos for all the PIZZAS they donated to the summer reading program readers! Pizza and cake eaters! The Friends and Foundation of the Library surprised us with a yummy cake!   Such a nice sign from the FFOL- it went with the cake! Just a couple of guys who REALLY like Star Wars books.

Pages helping the FIZZ BOOM READ KINDERGARTNERS make bugs out of yarn, pipe cleaners and googly eyes. Ben and his bug! The FIZZ BOOM READ KINDERGARTNERS playing a giant game of memory! Chole made an interesting yarn doll. Library Page Caroline, Book Bot and shortly after Maggie was  drawn as Reader of the Week! Lego challenge was to build a letter or a word.

Please note! Booker will not be at the outdoor pool for this Books & Stars.  Books & water don't mix well and it's difficult to park the big vehicle!  Booker will be at Way Park, July 23 and Central Park, July 30th!

Read and Ride Day is the Minnesota State Fair discount day for library user s .  On Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, public library cardholders receive discounted admission ticket prices when they purchase a ticket at the gate and present a valid public library card. (One discount per card.)  Show your library card at the ticket booth will receive a discount! As part of the celebration there will be a Read and Ride library event in Carousel Park (in front of the Grand Stand) from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm with free family activities.

The show begins at 7 pm.  Booker opens at 6:30! It's going to be a PERFECT evening!!
